How many know what's the final goal?
I sit at home and nothing's on still,
I should apply, but I'm not the best,
I went away, no appreciation for art,
My only options are foreign schools
Coffee shop screenplays blind me
Laptops screaming as keys depress
"You don't understand, it's the next big thing"
I think I might just fall asleep,
I'd rather not, I've work to do,
It's done before I even start,
Screw this I'm leaving now,
Funding my film from my gigs in a band,
I'm only the bass, and film isn't cheap,
No job, no direction, at home alone,
No place to start, no motivation,
Happy birthday you stupid old man,
All my suffering is self imposed,
I should get to work, find a job,
Check the paper nothing's good
Self employment is my only option,
Laughing at my own jokes,
I wish I could write happy songs,
High points just aren't for me,
Consultant friend says I'm not gonna make it,
Is his job a good one?
People complaining all day long,
(Maybe I should freelance)
I wish I could complain but I've got no reason
I try to help charity but I get distracted
Sometimes I wish that I had problems,
But no one would care anyway,
